GENERAL INFO, HISTORICAL BACKGROUND, FUN FACT

Jojoba oil is the liquid produced in the seed of Simmondsia chinensis (vegetable jojoba), a very long-lived woody shrub, native to southern California and northwest Mexico.
The name jojoba was originated by the population O'odham, the Native Americans who, for first, were able to enjoy the virtues of this plant using it for its oily seeds with which they cured sunburn and skin inflammations.
It can also be used as a natural and safe pesticide because it is non-toxic and does not pose a risk to other organisms present in the environment.
