Sweet almond extract has anti-oxidant, anti-wrinkle, softening and moisturising properties. It is also rich in vitamins E, A and D, linoleic and oleic acid.
After its use, the skin on the body will be more elastic, moisturised and soothed.

GENERAL INFO, HISTORICAL NOTES, CURIOSITIES

The almond tree, botanical name Prunus dulcis, belongs to the Rosaceae family. Its beautiful pinkish-white flowers, a symbol of purity, are the first to appear on fruit trees at the end of winter.
The pulp of the fruit is thin, hard and dry, which is why the fruit is not eaten; inside this unappetising fruit, however, is the kernel, the almond, from which a very nourishing and soothing oil is obtained through a cold pressing process.
Sweet almond oil has been used since ancient times, when Egyptian high society used it to prepare massage ointments by combining honey, cinnamon and aromatic wine with the oil; today this oil is widely recognised and used in cosmetics for its soothing and emollient properties.
