The autumn season offers the perfect climate for relaxing weekends and trips out of town, managing to satisfy the tastes and desires of every type of traveller!

Below, we suggest you some ideas to start planning your trips from:

WELL-BEING AND RELAXATION

For lovers of slow and relaxed rhythms of life, who try as much as possible to escape from the hectic everyday life, we recommend as destinations for a pleasant weekend a stay at a spa or a visit to a seaside town or lake.

The beneficial power of water on the skin and the positive influence it exerts on our neurotransmitters, relieve stress, allowing us to detach from reality.
That’s why many people, even in winter, feel the need to go to the sea or the lake: they seek refuge in the familiar lapping of water.

In this sense, we advise you:

  • The Falls of the Mill of Saturnia, in Tuscany: thermal sulphurous waters that have dug naturally in the rock of the small pools where you can dive for free, day and night, all year round;
  • Bogn Bay, Lake Iseo, Lombardy: a hidden bay, which will immediately catapult you to some island in the Philippines. The scenery is spectacular and you can admire important slabs of rock falling overhanging in the water of the lake;
  • Venice, in Veneto: what better maritime city, if not Venice, which is entirely built on water? The sound of the gondolas slamming against the pier, the bright colors of the houses and the sometimes melancholic songs of the gondoliers, will totally kidnap you.

GASTRONOMY

If you love good food, but especially good wine, an escape in the hills between the vineyards is the best choice.

The beauty of food and wine tours is not only in discovering new tastes and tastes, but also in being able to bring home a tangible and tasty memory of the trip, to share with friends and relatives!

As a destination to collect your delicious memories, we recommend:

  • Parma, in Emilia Romagna: declared "creative city for gastronomy" by UNESCO, is famous all over the world for Parmigiano Reggiano DOP and Prosciutto di Parma DOP. Do not miss the Culatello di Zibello DOP and the Fungo di Borgotaro IGP. But the Parma hills are not only the cradle of fine cured meats, you can also enjoy sparkling and light wines.
  • Valtellina, in Lombardy: do not miss the pizzoccheri, the bresaola IGP, the rare salami of turnips and hare tart, to be enjoyed with a good glass of red wine.
  • Castelli Romani, in Lazio: a crown of villages scattered around two lakes, to explore collecting stops in the fraschette. A highly pleasant way to spend the weekend between culture and poor but tasty cuisine, whose protagonists are: the "soaked artichoke", the "attufato broccolo", supplì and Roman pinsa. Here, too, you can easily find excellences in the field of both red and white wines.

CONTACT WITH NATURE

Finally, if on the weekend you prefer to breathe clean air, stay immersed in nature and still enjoy a bit of the fresh shade offered by the trees, why not go looking for mushrooms and chestnuts?

Two traditional hobbies, but that require a certain knowledge of the territory and especially of the products you are looking for.

As location for these activities we recommend:

Mushrooms: excellent areas of Bellunese and the highlands of Asiago in Veneto, as well as the area of Valtellina in Lombardy. In central and southern Italy we recommend the Casertano in Campania and the area of Catania within the Etna Park, in Sicily.
Chestnuts: ideal for a picnic are the areas of the Curone valley, near Lecco in Lombardy, the chestnut road in Emilia Romagna that winds along the Modena Apennines and finally in Calabria the area of Sant'Agata d'Esaro in the province of Cosenza and the woods of Sila.

Whatever your ideal trip, always bring with you the SKIN IV masks!  They will amplify the vibrations of relaxation and well-being of your weekend out-of-town.
