Nowadays we are increasingly paying attention to what we buy, especially when it comes to cosmetic products.
Often, however, it happens that we confuse among the many and various terminologies that characterize the cosmetic sector: natural products, bio, eco-sustainable, cruelty free...
In this context, SKIN IV has decided to create a mini guide to help you better orient your purchasing choices

NATURAL PRODUCTS
It is a general and generic term, which includes many other terminologies such as bio, vegan, cruelty free etc...
A cosmetic product is classified as natural when the ingredients and active ingredients are of natural origin (animal, vegetable or mineral), although not necessarily derived from organic farming. A natural and/or green product, therefore, does not contain parabens, petrolatum, silicones or other chemical synthesis substances.

BIOLOGICAL
They are all those cosmetics whose ingredients are natural and come from organic farming, that is, from a type of agriculture that exploits the natural fertility of the soil promoting its biodiversity.
Organic cosmetics manufacturers offer consumers a guarantee that they do not contain Gmos (genetically modified organisms), chemicals, dyes or artificial flavourings.

ECO-FRIENDLY
"Friendly product of the planet".
The term "eco" means that cosmetics and the production processes that give them life, respect the environment. The cultivation of ingredients, production, packaging, distribution and disposal are carried out in respect and care of the planet.

VEGAN
All those cosmetics that contain no traces of animal origin or derivation and are cruelty free. Please note, the vegan product may contain chemical or inorganic (mineral) ingredients.

CRUELTY FREE
Cosmetic products that have not been tested on animals. However, this does not remove that they may contain traces of animal derivation.

FAIR TRADE
The word "fair trade" is often thought to be related to natural products, but this is not the case. With this term we indicate all those products that have been obtained thanks to the contribution of ethical and sustainable projects, but does not give indications on the type of ingredients (if natural, organic, vegan and so on).

If you are interested in a vegan, cruelty free and eco-friendly mask try the eye contour to the gold powder SKIN IV.
Its inci is devoid of ingredients of animal origin or derivation and no ingredient has been tested on animals!
In addition, hydrogel patches are totally biodegradable as they dissolve quickly when put in hot water.

SKIN IV cares about our planet and with it also all our animal friends 🥰
