Holidays by the sea are not only for lovers of relaxation and sunbathing. In fact, often people tend to associate beach life with tranquility, rest, a holiday made to recharge the energy after a hard year of work, but the beach offers more than that! There are many opportunities that it provides for fitness and sports lovers.

Let’s discover together some of the most loved activities, both by beginners and by the most experienced! Always keep in mind: never train during the hottest hours of the day and drink plenty of water to keep hydrated.

AQUAGYM

Difficulty level: 1/10

For those who love contact with water, music and fun, aquagym is perfect: not only tones but is also ideal for those who suffer from problems of circulation, joint pain and for those who want to fight swelling and cellulite. The aquagym has very few contraindications, the only advice we feel like giving you is: watch out for the waves!  Although the calories burned depend from person to person, on average in an hour of water aerobics of good intensity you can burn from 300 to 500 kcal.

BEACH NORDIC WALKING 

Difficulty level: 3/10

It is a sport born in the mountains, but which has now also conquered the beaches. It consists in walking by the sea, on the shore, with the help of special sticks. Great for those with back problems, helps to tone the back, arms and legs! To intensify the training you can walk in the sea: the water that opposes resistance and the seabed more "soft" represent an extra obstacle! With one hour of walking you can consume 500 calories.

STAND UP PADDLE - SUP

Difficulty level: 6/10

It is a variation of surfing with Hawaiian origins: depending on your balance you can decide whether to stand on the board or on your knees, and with the oar supplied you paddle to move. The calories burned depend a lot on the energy you put in the discipline: ranging from 300-400 calories consumed in an hour if the paddle is more "recreational", up to 1200 calories for a more energetic and aerobic training.

PADEL

Difficulty level: 8/10

If this summer you go to a seaside resort with equipped beaches, you will surely have the opportunity to play padel, the sport of the moment. It is a variant of tennis, now famous in Spain, which is practiced in a small field, surrounded by a "cage" of glass and grids with which to interact. A high intensity sport that for an hour of play allows you to burn 600 calories!

JETFOILER

If you love challenges and challenge yourself, jetfoiler is what you were looking for: a discipline that combines the difficulties of surfing, the thrill of flying!
It is in fact a surfboard equipped with a wing positioned at the bottom of the board that maximizes power and speed.
A fun activity that also requires balance, control and coordination and allows you to burn 600 calories in an hour.
