In recent years the theme of sustainability has become increasingly important, going to gain a central role in the life of each of us.

Many sectors, from home design, to fashion to the cosmetic sector, are converging their strength and their know-how to make the products as much as possible Green and Eco Friendly, so as to have a minimal impact on the environment.

The ways to increase consumer awareness and be more sustainable are different, let’s see together some examples:

SKIN IV

Our brand offers a philosophy dedicated to the prevention and proper disposal of products, a symptom of awareness and ethical-sustainable consciousness.

The hydrogel masks of SKIN IV bind well to this concept of sustainability, as they are made with a highly hydrophilic material that melts - and then disposes - very easily in hot water. The mask takes 15 to 20 minutes to melt completely!Try it!

The sheet mask instead, are made of microcellulose, a completely natural and 100% biodegradable material. Despite being single use masks, the latter are highly imbibite serum, so after the first application you can store the mask and use it for a second treatment.

NEGOZIO LEGGERO

In this context of sustainability, Negozio Leggero, an Italian reality, aims to educate consumers to a zero waste philosophy, that is zero waste. Their dream is in fact to make a life simple without waste, going to offer only loose products or with the vacuum to make. What does it mean? That in the shop you enter with your own containers to be filled and brought back home, starting the so-called "shopping on tap". A whole new way and Green to mean shopping!

H&M

Alongside the Conscious line created with recycled materials or from sustainable sources, H&M supports the new Colour Story collection, which is also similar to this theme. The collection celebrates the vitality and warmth of the natural world making colors more sustainable. How? Using state-of-the-art dyeing processes using innovative techniques such as biotechnology, plant pigments and digital printing.

The brand also invites its customers to experience this type of sustainable dyeing by doing a small experiment at home:

NEEDED:
1 Garment (T-shirt, trousers, skirt, costume, bags...)
1 avocado peel, to obtain a pale green color, otherwise:

HOW TO:

  1. Wash your chosen garment and DO NOT dry it;
  2. In a separate bowl prepare the fixative that will help the fabric to more easily assume natural dyes: pour 1 part white vinegar with 4 parts cold water. Leave the boss in the solution for an hour, then rinse;
  3. In a separate pot, insert the chosen ingredient, in this case the avocado peel, and simmer for an hour.
  4. Remove the avocado peel and insert your still wet garment. Stir occasionally. The longer the fabric stays in the pot, the more intense the color will be.
  5. For a nice color, leave the head in immersion at least an hour, always with the fire lit.
  6. Remove the fabric and wash it in cold water. Dry as usual.

This procedure can also be repeated with several ingredients in order to obtain a garment still playful, personalized and totally fashionable!
